Richard Mongiat
Richard Mongiat has worked as a Lead Scenic Artist for the past eighteen years. Richard has taught painting at Central Technical School in Toronto and is currently teaching a Scene Painting Course at Ryerson University. Richard is a Fine Artist who has exhibited his own work in galleries across Canada.
February 2005: The Banff Centre For The Arts in Alberta has asked Richard Mongiat to participate in a round table discussion evaluating and consulting on the development of new cirriculum for the Banff Theatre Centre. Richard will join a panel of 9 other scenic artists from around Canada to partake in these talks.
March 2005: Richard Mongiat and Jules Tonus have been asked to take part in a panel disscussion on scenic painting at the USITT Confrence (United States Institute For Theatre Technology) taking place in Toronto. This conference attracts theatre technicians from around North America. The Conference offers workshops, panel discussions, a world stage design exhibition, as well as an expo offering an outlet for the latest in theatre technologies. The USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo is a focal point for performing arts and entertainment professionals.
